Roulette is not as popular in United States casinos as it is in Europe. In American roulette the addition of the 00 section greatly increases the odds in favor of the house. The players who bet on the winning number or color are rewarded while the
players who bet on the losing number(s) lose their chips to the casino. Single numbers pay the highest, while either/or bets are lowest. You
should remember to exchange the colored non-value Roulette chips for valued
gaming chips prior to leaving a particular Roulette table. In effect, this variation has the ability to turn a loss into a tie. Players often choose the
bets they like to make and stick with them for a series of spins. A European roulette wheel has the numbers 1-36, plus a slot for zero. Consider playing low-edge games like Baccarat, Blackjack, or Craps instead. Single numbers pay the highest, while
either/or bets are lowest. Losing bets are collected and winning bets are paid. Roulette is played
on a table featuring a betting area and the roulette wheel. Roulette players make bets by placing chips in various locations on the table. The Roulette wheels in Europe are numbered 1-36, and have a green zero section. When the wheel slows down and the ball drops into one of the
numbered slots, the dealer places a marker on the winning number on the Roulette
table. The American roulette is divided in to 38 slots,
numbered 1 through 36, plus 0 and 00. American wheels have two green sections marked 00. the bad odds do mean you're less likely to walk away a winner than if you'd played one of the other games instead. European Roulette Wheel: The European Roulette Wheel contains 37 numbers

opposite direction of the spinning wheel. These are referred to as INSIDE or OUTSIDE bets. Traditionally roulette has been played in regular offline casinos. In some casinos there exist some special rules.
In Prison/En prison
In case the ball stops at zero slot, the croupier will not collect red/black, odd/even and first half/last half bets, they will stay on the table - in other words they are in prison. In the next spin the players have a chance of winning their original bet back - if their bet wins they will get their original bet back but with no additional win. If it's zero again the bets remain in prison one more time and so on. As this special rule reduced the casinos edge, it's greatly to the advantage for the players.
La Partage
When the ball falls on zero, red/black, odd/even and first half/last half bets will not be fully collected by the croupier. The croupier will collect only a half of player's bets and will return the rest to the players. As well as the In Prison rule, the La Partage rule also reduces the casinos edge to only 1. 35 percent.
