Roulette is not as popular in United States casinos as it is in Europe. If you win the second spin, your bet is "released from prison" and you get it back. - Roulette is a game of pure chance and each single spin is unrelated to any previous spins. Once the bets have been placed on the table, the wheel is set to start spinning and a small - usually metal or ivory - ball is spun onto the wheel in the opposite direction to that of the spinning wheel. The wheel has numbered pockets ranging from 0 to 36 - and 00 in American Style Roulette. Roulette is the most classic casino game of all. Try to find a European wheel with the Single 0 (no 00) In roulette game the bank pays or collects from each bettor. The main goal of the roulette is to bet on the slot where the roulette ball falls. The outcome of a game of Roulette is determined by where the ball stops on the Roulette wheel. Once the bets are placed on the table, a small ball is released on to the spinning Roulette wheel, in the opposite direction to the spin. If you play Roulette, the most important thing is to find a casino that offers the European wheel (which is called "Single 0" Roulette) The wheel is divided into 38 (American) or 37 (European) sections, each of which has walls to hold a small ball where it lands after the wheel is spun. In Roulette the bets are placed on an area of the table marked with separate boxes containing individual numbers.  Roulette is a fast moving, simple and exciting game offering many different types of bets and payoffs. The sections are numbered from 1 to 36, (half red and half black, half odd and half even) plus a green section marked 0. When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you  The dealer will take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier. The dealer spins a small ball in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. On both wheels, you may think that there is no rhyme or reason as to how the numbers are arranged, but there is; the numbers are arranged this way so that the odds of landing on high, odd, low or even numbers are evenly distributed. Bets outside this grid, like for example a bet on RED, would be an outside bet. Roulette is a game of chance, and there is no way of cheating at roulette to increase the odds in your favour. Outside bets in Atlantic City carry only a 2.6% house edge. In Europe, the payoff odds are the same but the 00 is not on the wheel so the house advantage is only 2.7% (that is there are only 37 slots on the wheel) After all payoffs have been made, the Dealer will announce "Place your bets". Roulette uses a special wheel, a betting layout, and chips. Single numbers pay the highest, while either/or bets are lowest. There are 2 types of roulette, American and French (aka European roulette) The croupier spins the wheel, which has 38 slots, numbered from 1 to 36 with the additional slots 0 and 00. The American version of roulette has a single zero and a double zero versus the French version with just a single zero. After all payoffs have been made, the Dealer will announce "Place your bets. The zero and double zero numbers are in green and on opposite sides of the wheel, the colors and odd/even numbers alternate, and the numbers themselves are randomly distributed. Before you get confused, standard American roulette rules have the table use different chips than other table games at the same casino. If you’re feeling lucky, you can pack in plenty of casino play at a roulette wheel in a short time. You should give some indication to the dealer as to what value of chip denomination you prefer to be provided with. A European roulette wheel has the numbers 1-36, plus a slot for zero. Although the Single Zero wheel gives better odds, even with a 00 wheel and $5 bets you'll lose less money than on a 5-coin nickel slot machine. The French roulette wheel is divided into 37 slots, numbered 1 through 36, plus 0, there is no 00. The ball will lose speed and eventually stop in one of the numbered pockets in the Roulette wheel.

If you have ever played Roulette you know that there is a certain period of time, in which players are allowed to make bets. In between each spin of the wheel, the dealer normally gives all of the bettors about 60 seconds to place their bets. Players have a few seconds after the dealer spins the wheel. No more bets can be made after the dealer says “no more bets”. After the spinning ball lands in one of the pockets, the dealer will put a market on the corresponding number on the table. Then all the losing bets will be removed from the table. After that, he will pay off the winning bets, and remove the marker from the table. Chips can be touched after the spinning ball has stopped. Try to be polite and courteous. Make sure that you are respectful to the dealer and the people around you, and also offer the dealer a small tip every 10th spin or so. Try no to take alcohol drinks even if they are offered for free.
