k. Roulette is a very easy to learn and really exciting game. That $20 you lost represents the house edge of 5.26% ($20 lost divided by the $380 that you bet) Just pick a number and spin the ball. Roulette is somewhat unique amongst modern table games in that it
employs a mechanical device as the key element of the game. The
chips are worthless at the other tables in the same casino, so do not bother
trying to stack them under your blackjack chips or anything foolish like that. The sections are numbered
from 1 to 36, (half red and half black, half odd and half even) plus a green
section marked 0. You usually find most tables in Las Vegas with a minimum bet of $1 -
$3. To make your money last longer try to find a single 0 wheel, and make only one bet per round regardless of what kind of wheel you find. The last time we checked (12-00), single Roulette was available at the Stratosphere and Monte Carlo (and probably Paris) A croupier conducts land based casino's. Roulette was developed around the turn of the century and is one of the most
popular gambling games in the world. I found out about it when an Atlantic City dealer took only one of my two chips on a losing bet and I had to ask why. Roulette is a fast moving, simple and exciting game offering many different
types of bets and payoffs. The ball slows and eventually stops in one of the numbered pockets in the Roulette
wheel. Having two zeros (0, 00) gives the house a 5.26 advantage In other
words, for every $100 a gambler bets, the house will make $5.26 in profit. The difference between the true odds and what they actually pay you is 2/38, or 5.26%. If you really want to use a betting system, check out some more conservative systems. The wheel is divided
into 38 (American) or 37 (European) sections, each of which has walls to hold a
small ball where it lands after the wheel is spun. The American version of roulette has a single zero and a double zero versus the French
version with just a single zero. In Europe, the payoff odds are the same but the 00 is not on the wheel so the house advantage is only 2.7% (that is there are only 37 slots on the wheel) You could place five 1 dollar bets on five completely different inside bets (specific numbers or combinations of numbers) Roulette uses a special wheel, a betting layout, and chips. When you finish beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out" for you, the dealer will then take your chips and give you casino checks which you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier. Losing bets are collected and winning bets are paid. As in all Casino games, the house maintains a winning advantage over the people gambling. American and European roulettes have a wheel that is divided
into numerous slots. The dealer spins a small ball in the
opposite direction of the spinning wheel. After all bets are placed, the Dealer spins the wheel in one
direction and the ball in the opposite direction. The wheel has numbered pockets ranging from 0 to 36 - and 00 in American Style Roulette. The outcome of a game
of Roulette is determined by where the ball stops on the Roulette wheel. The marked area of Roulette is called the game layout, and you may place bets on any particular number, any
4 adjacent numbers, a column or a dozen bet. The ball stops in one of
the numbered pockets of the Roulette wheel. The odds on roulette are at least five times worse than baccarat, blackjack, or craps, but it's played much slower so your expected loss is about the same. Roulette is a glamorous and exciting game that's easy to play. On even money bets when 0 comes up, instead of losing right away, your bet is "imprisoned" and rides again for the next spin. You can place bets until the ball leaves
the track and falls onto the spun wheel. When I was learning about gambling, the first thing I did was to buy and read the book The Complete Idiot's Guide to Gambling Like a Pro.
