The weight of the wheel is a hundred pounds, the diameter is 3 feet. The numbers 1 through 36 are divided evenly among red and black "pockets". The pocket is an area, in which the ball can land. In addition to the 36 red and black pockets, there are either 1 or 2 green pockets, containing the number zero and double zero (00) on the roulette wheel. The numbers are not distributed in a random fashion. A balance between red and black, high and low, and odd and even is sought by the wheel makers. For every number on the wheel, directly across from it is the next highest even number. Black and red alternate, pairs of even numbers alternate with pairs of odd numbers (with 0 and 00 exceptions). This roulette wheel design is standard within the industry. A roulette dealer (usually referred to as "croupier") spins the wheel counterclockwise and releases what is usually a plastic ball along the track that runs along the top of the wheel's cavity. As the wheel loses velocity the ball is pulled down off of the track and bounces around until it settles into a pocket. There are a million small buffers and bumps to ensure that the ball is tossed around a good bit randomly before it finds a home.

Roulette is a game of chance and consists of a Roulette wheel and table. If the dreaded 00 is spun, the House keeps all the bets. The American version of roulette has a single zero and a double zero versus the French
version with just a single zero. After the wheel stops
the dealer will then mark the winning number on the betting area and the bets
are paid accordingly. The main goal of the Roulette is to bet on the
slot where the roulette ball falls. Players often choose the
bets they like to make and stick with them for a series of spins. The ball falls into one of the wheel's
numbered compartments which determines the winning number. Although the Single Zero wheel gives better odds, even with a 00 wheel and $5 bets you'll lose less money than on a 5-coin nickel slot machine. It is played in virtually every gambling
house in North and South America and in Europe, where it is even more popular. Roulette was developed around the turn of the century and is one of the most
popular gambling games in the world. The United
States adopted their own version, but the French version is still played time to
time in Las Vegas. After all bets are placed, the roulette Dealer spins the wheel in one direction and the
ball in the opposite direction. In roulette game the bank pays or collects from each bettor. You should remember to exchange the colored non-value Roulette chips for valued gaming chips prior to leaving a particular Roulette table. The French roulette wheel is divided into 37 slots, numbered 1 through 36, plus 0, there is no 00. When I was learning about gambling, the first thing I did was to buy and read the book The Complete Idiot's Guide to Gambling Like a Pro. Numbers 1-18 are considered the
lows numbers, 19-36 are the highs. A huge attraction at casinos
across the country, the classic roulette wheel remains one of the most exciting
casino games available. The wheel is used to determine the outcome of a game of Roulette. In North American roulette, the house enjoys a steady 5.3% advantage. Roulette is somewhat unique amongst modern table games in that it
employs a mechanical device as the key element of the game. Roulette is played on a table featuring a betting area and the roulette wheel. After
all bets are placed, the croupier spins the wheel in one direction and tosses
the small ball in the opposite direction. The American roulette is divided in to 38 slots, numbered 1
through 36, plus 0 and 00. When the ball comes to rest in one of
the slots, the dealer will call out the winning number and settle all
bets. Roulette does not move at a quick pace, it is for a more relaxed crowd than you are likely to find at the
craps table. Roulette is of French origin and was first played in New Orleans. The sections are numbered
from 1 to 36, (half red and half black, half odd and half even) plus a green
section marked 0. The ball will lose speed and
eventually stop in one of the numbered pockets in the Roulette wheel. If you are playing at a table with a 5 dollar minimum, you
are required to place 5 dollars on each of your outside bets, and-or a total of
at least 5 dollars on your inside bets (inside & outside bets are explained
in a second) European wheels have only the 0 green section. The wheel is divided
into 38 (American) or 37 (European) sections, each of which has walls to hold a
small ball where it lands after the wheel is spun. -
Roulette translated literally means "small wheel" and is one of the oldest
casino games played today. The Roulette wheels in Europe are numbered 1-36, and have a green zero section. Roulette players can bet on one, two, three, four or six numbers; or they can choose to bet red or black; high or low; odd or even. Winning bets are determined by
the numbered slot in which the ball comes to rest. -

In roulette everything depends on luck. There is little you can do from a strategic point of view other than trying to keep the house edge to a minimum. There are special rules in casinos which directly affect on the edge.
The 'surrender' option is the first strategy to know. In Roulette, this rule applies to outside bets which pay even money only, such as odd/even, red/black, and high/low. If the balls lands on the 0 or the 00 you only lose half your bet, rather than the whole betting. The house edge considerably depends on this;after all it is the 0 and 00 which account for the high house edge in the first place. Of course, the payoffs aren't as great for outside bets, but simply by finding a table with the ‘surrender' rule, you are improving your odds substantially.
The point of 0 and 00 is interesting enough. You better look for one 0 tables, which are called European tables. Primarily found in Europe, these tables offer a much more attractive house edge from the player's point of view. With a European table to play on you are reducing the house edge from 5. 26 percent to 2. 7 percent. Physically European roulette tables are found more often in Europe, but in the ‘online world’ gambling they are just a click away.
